McGregor is the Managing Partner and co-founder of Altered Capital, a New Zealand based Venture Capital and Private Equity firm with over $350m in funds under management.

Altered was founded in 2022 as a management spin-out from a London-based venture fund, and the team has a strong international track record in banking and payments investing, having led the Seed rounds for Starling Bank in the UK in 2015, and Emerge in New Zealand in 2023.
