Adrian Smith is the CEO and Co-Founder of BlinkPay, Aotearoa's homegrown Open Banking fintech. A proud Scottish Māori, Adrian spent 14+ years driving digital transformation across the UK banking industry at Lloyds Banking Group and Barclays UK before returning home to help rebuild how New Zealanders pay and get paid.

At BlinkPay, he's been at the forefront of building payment infrastructure on the NZ Open Banking standard — working across industry, regulation, and technology to make financial services fairer and more accessible for all. He sits on the Tech NZ Board and is an active member of the Payments NZ API Council.
